Senior Manager, Paid Search & Social

Our client, a boutique agency working with top clients across North America, is looking to add to their growing team.

This position is 100% remote. We are looking for candidates based in Canada.

As a Senior Manager of Paid Search & Social, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing campaign performance, driving excellence, and nurturing client relationships. This position combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring campaigns deliver results while constantly innovating across paid media channels. You’ll work closely with clients to exceed their KPIs, lead a talented team, and help shape the future of digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients, ensuring paid media campaigns align with their goals and exceed expectations. Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
  • Lead the development and implementation of paid search and social strategies
  • Keep innovation & best practices top of mind. Integrate the latest tools, ad formats, and technologies into campaigns
  • Oversee all aspects of campaign setup, budget management, and optimization
  • Manage tracking systems and resolve any issues quickly to ensure smooth campaign execution
  • Mentor and develop internal and external teams, educating them on digital best practices, emerging tools, and new strategies
  • Develop detailed reporting, insights and presentations based on post-campaign performance, providing clients with valuable insights and recommendations
  • Work with internal teams to assess and integrate third-party vendor solutions to improve campaign outcomes
  • Build, manage, and refine audience segments across multiple platforms to ensure relevance and effectiveness
  • Collaborate and work with cross-functional teams on business strategies
  • Contribute content and insights to POVs, blog posts, and industry thought leadership to maintain a strong presence in the digital marketing space
  • Ensure that tactical media plans are accurately implemented on digital platforms, delivering campaigns as needed
  • Manage website tagging and conversion tracking for Google Ads, GA4, and Google Tag Manager to ensure proper reporting and actionable insights
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience in paid search, paid social with 1+ years’ managing small teams
  • Post secondary education in relevant field preferred
  • Hands on experience in Paid Search and Paid Social, with a focus on Google campaigns (Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Display GDN, Demand Gen) and Meta platforms (UGC, Prospecting, Retargeting, Advantage+, DPA)
  • Proven track record of executing and optimizing media strategies across multiple platforms (Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Microsoft Ads, Meta, TikTok, X/Twitter, Apple Search, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills, with a passion for working with large data sets and emerging media technologies like AI.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to present complex information in a clear, compelling way.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Shopify is a bonus.
  • Experience in an agency or working with media partners is a plus.
